  • Call forwarding is available at no extra cost with a subscription, or for a small charge per minute using Skype Credit. If you don’t have a subscription and sufficient Skype Credit, your calls will not be forwarded. If you’re not sure how much Skype Credit you have, it’s easy to check your account balance.
     
    If you have sufficient Skype Credit and the call isn't being forwarded, make sure that you have set up call forwarding correctly, and that the forwarding number has been correctly entered with the full international dialing code. We recommend that you make a test call to the number you have entered to confirm that it is correct.
     
    If you have a subscription, make sure that the number you want to forward your calls to is covered by your subscription. For example, if you have a subscription covering calls to landlines in Spain, then you can forward calls to landlines in Spain only.
     
    If you’re still having problems with call forwarding, check that your privacy settings allow you to receive calls from anyone, and not just people in your contact list:
     
    1. In the menu bar, click Tools > Options

    2. Under Privacy, click Privacy settings.

    3. Under Allow calls from, make sure that anyone is selected.
     
  • Call forwarding lets you forward the incoming Skype calls to a landline or mobile you choose. When you set up call forwarding, your friends can reach you at any time, even if you’re not signed in to Skype.
    You can choose up to three mobile or landlines numbers worldwide, even in different countries, or you can choose to have calls forwarded to another Skype contact in your contact list.

    How much does call forwarding cost?
     
    It’s free to forward incoming Skype calls to another Skype contact - all you need is to have that contact in your contact list.
     
    To forward your incoming calls to a mobile or landline, you’ll need a little Skype Credit or subscription.
     
    If you use Skype Credit as a payment method, the forwarded calls will be charged at the Skype’s great pay per minute rates. For example, if you forward your incoming Skype calls to a mobile number in the United States, you’ll be charged exactly what it costs to call a mobile in the United States from Skype.
     
    You can also purchase a subscription for calls to a country where you want to receive the forwarded calls. For example, if you want your incoming Skype calls to be forwarded to a number in the United States, simply choose a subscription covering calls to the United States.
     
    No matter which payment method you prefer, the person who’s calling you on Skype will still call you for free.
     


    Can I forward calls made to my Skype Number?
     
    Yes. Any call to your Skype Number can also be forwarded to a mobile or landline number of your choice.
     


    How does call forwarding work with Voice Messaging?
     
    If you set up call forwarding and you’ve activated Skype Voice Messaging, the incoming calls will first be forwarded to the number(s) you’ve entered and, if there’s no response, the call will be received as a voice message in Skype.
     
    If you’ve set up call forwarding to another Skype contact and the contact is offline, the incoming calls will not be forwarded and the caller will hear a message that the contact is offline. However, if that contact has an active Voice Messaging, the caller can leave a voice message.
     
  • It’s easy to forward incoming calls. You can forward them to another Skype contact for free, or with a little Skype Credit or calling subscription, you can forward incoming calls to a mobile or landline. Call forwarding has replaced the older call transfer functionality on Skype.
     


    Setting up call forwarding
     

    When you've set up call forwarding, your incoming calls will be forwarded even when you’re not signed in to Skype.
     
    To set up call forwarding:
     
    1. Sign in to Skype.

    2. In the menu bar, click Tools > Options.

    3. Under Calls, click Call forwarding.

    4. Click Call forwarding options and tick Forward my calls to.

    5. Either:
     
    • Enter a mobile or landline number. Click the flag to find the relevant international dialing code. If required, click Add more phone numbers to forward calls to up to three different numbers.

    • Enter the Skype Name of the contact you want to forward calls to. Make sure that you enter the Skype Name correctly. Note that you cannot forward calls to a person who hasn’t accepted your contact request.
     
    6. Specify how many seconds to wait before the calls are forwarded.

    7. Click Save to set up call forwarding.
     
    If you set up call forwarding but it doesn’t work as expected, these tips can help to fix your problem.
     


    Disabling call forwarding
     
    You can disable call forwarding either from the Skype application or from your Skype account.
     

    To disable call forwarding from the application:
     
    1. Sign in to Skype.

    2. Select Tools > Options... > Calls > Call forwarding.

    3. Uncheck the box next to Forward my calls to.

    4. Click Save.
     

    To disable call forwarding from your Skype account:
     
    1. Sign in to your account.

    2. Under Manage features, select Call forwarding.

    3. Next to Status, click Disable.
